Why it’s impossible to predict which startups will succeed

Entrepreneurship always surprises us; it is always baffling. It is always difficult to predict. As the saying goes, ” Prediction is difficult, especially about the future.” And entrepreneurship is all about creating the future !

Entrepreneurship is not about what is likely; it is about what is possible. It is not about ordinary; it is about extraordinary.

A market need, pain, or want without a person to address them is not an opportunity. Opportunities are the interactions of personal capabilities and some characteristics of the objective situation. One without the other is insufficient. There are three general types of capabilities that interact with external factors to create opportunities: assets, information, and skills.
