  1. We’ll have to exit from the lockdown abruptly only, whether it’s now, or May 18 or June 1.
The infections are growing at a constant rate in proportion to the testing performed.
So, either way, it doesn’t matter. My prediction – we’ll look like fools as a nation for not exiting fast.

  2. Dr Aniruddha Malpani Government has too much ego and too little thinking capacity to actually do the right thing.
Most of our beurocrates actually don’t have to pay any cost in case of serious disaster done by their actions, that’s why the end up doing the things where they don’t have to work.

  3. Sir only way is for many intellectuals to get to grass root and be part of political system. This is tough, needs lots of guts, determination and strategies. Many people did so, but I observed, that over period of time, many get used to lifestyle (Bungalow allocations, free bees,
The day economic curbs reach directly to them, each isolation will stop automatically.

  4. Our lockdown start time, plan and action was very timely
However as expected, the PM doesn’t seem to have A clue on the exit plan
So it’s looking now like just A copy -paste model from the countries with much higher fatality rate per million people

  5. Creation of #consumerdemand to previous levels is going to be the biggest challenge, going forward.
Damage is definitely done. No use analysing an already well-executed damage. Next 1 to 1.5 years is going to be a huge test of #governance abilities, worldwide. The learnings of governments during these #covid19 times are going to only further complicate these challenges.

  6. Dr Aniruddha Malpani exactly my point…
    Open it up….let it free.
Earth has a perfect system for natural balance
Enough time spent in copy pasting one model of prevention
Time to move on…to next alt
    What will at worst happen!
Sooner or later all will get immune…its not like virus has a shelf life..we can ask china …since they cultured it in their lab.

  7. Manalsu Juneja When you are in a massive way you are diagnosing on the basic of symptoms, how the hell do you know they have got this corona virus and something else. Are we destroying the economic system? They are planning an enormous economic crash. This corona virus hysteria gives them an excuse to do what they are doing and the consequences and outcomes of what they are doing is to dismantle the economic system.

Well yes, in a way, the crisis gives them enough fodder to evade economic blame till 2024!
But, will the public buy it for too long? The data coming in from the other countries about the effectiveness of lockdowns isn’t too encouraging – what if after six months almost everyone starts believing that the government screwed up big time?

  9. Sachin Kumar there is no conspiracy theory. The bureaucracy sold a lemon to the politicians.
These people in conjunction with MLA’s have ensured lack of meaningful local government which basically means that there is actually no government on the ground.
Thus forget fighting a pandemic. They are clueless on fighting a major fire.

  10. the cost to the government is negligible. An MP represent on an average 2 millions people. The government doesn’t give required facilities to the MP’s so that they do not stray out of bounds Do you know the size of the office of the Dehi Police Commissioner It is 1,200 sq ft. No MP till he is a minister has an office they function from home. The effective functioning of legislature is hobbled by the fact every legislator wants to join the executive.

  11. Hemant Suri excerpt from shekhar gupta’s article in the print
We need to see the road ahead, a road to some kind of normalcy. Or, we will end up a nation of beggars, waiting for sarkari orders and maai–baap handouts for survival. We are getting deluded by how inspirationally compliant Indians are with this unthinking, one-size-fits-all lockdown that would do Tughlaq proud.
