I was proud of the fact that I always topped my class in one of India’s best known schools.
It’s only when I started to learn Sanskrit on my own that I realised how impoverished my education in a brand name English language School in Mumbai had been!
I wish we took more pride in being Indian – and in inculcating that pride in our children!
