No, we don’t need to worry about the ” second wave ” which the media keeps on scaring us with!
Many people are petrified that once the lockdown is lifted , there will be another outbreak of coronavirus in India .
This is the pretext politicians use to continue extending the Lockdown and crippling our lives and our livelihoods!
However, please remember that in places like Dharavi, where we were never able to implement a Lockdown effectively, because people were too poor to wear masks or “socially distance” themselves, we still haven’t seen a spike in deaths in the last 80 days !
Neither have the hundreds and thousands of migrants who broke the Lockdown and went back to their villages died like flies !
This clearly shows that the Lockdown has been unnecessary in India.
Yes, the number of cases will keep on rising , and this is inevitable , whether there is a Lockdown or not, because this is a viral infection, and we will all get infected.
Also, the number of COVID-19 deaths will continue to rise , because death hasn’t taken a holiday, but there will be no geometric progression, as would be seen in an epidemic !
